To finish the sustainable renovation of an old bungalow, the owner needed living room cabinetry and a fountain for the entrance hall. Both are inspired by the simplicity of the house and a Japanese spareness of line and materiality. Fabricated of bamboo plywood and concrete tops, these pieces accentuate the sequence from entry to living room. The curved entrance wall was covered with grasscloth. The effect is visually peaceful and materially sensual.
